I am so totally overwhelmed and the one thing that is my escape I can't seem to find time for. Calgon...take me away! AJ's sister is coming into town tonight with a friend for a wedding. I am at the moment washing bedding then it's off to scour the boys' bathroom so that it is fit for use by someone other than two small (very dirty) little boys.

This week should wisk by due to the fact that AJ is out of town all next week for training and I am dreading it. I have so much on my plate that I planned for and committed to before Little Meems came to stay. but such it life right?? isn't everyone almost too busy?

Sounds like the dryer just buzzed, better check it and get off my booty, those toothpaste clumps aren't going to remove themselves!

knitted a while ago - but photos just now.

i don't remember newborns being this much work. I have such a selective memory, Of course, it could be that things are just so crazy different with foster kids. We've had so many meetings and it has been a rocky "getting to know you" week for us. I think we might be experiencing our first Colic-y baby. That is an eye-opener. No knitting has occured, I can't believe how much I miss it. Tomorrow' s mission... to find 30 minutes somewhere in the day to knit!

What is Keeping me So Busy

DSC01942, originally uploaded by nitzergurl.

we have our first foster baby, she came to us quite unexpectedly friday night. She is just 3 weeks old and is taking up quite a bit of time. I just love it. she adores the swing and I am able to get a little bit of knitting in, but honestly, she and I are reading Harry Potter mostly.

Baby Sweaters .. cha.cha.cha

These have been finished for a while, or at least in various stages of being finished.. needing buttons, weaving in ends, putting on sleeves! In a burst of energy they all got done this last weekend and then put up for Sale on Etsy. They'll hang out there for a little while, then if they don't sell, they are off to my mom for baby gifts.

I am (mostly) happy with how they all turned out. I see lots of things that I would do differently when I knit them again. So I suppose I should get on that right away and write up the pattern while I am working it the second time.

Perhaps I do too much fly by the seat of my pants knitting, but I just can't imagine doing it any other way.
